Meet Heather Ruth
Hello friends. I am Heather Ruth! This is the part of the website I am not fond of. Talking about myself! I thought it would be important to introduce myself and tell you a little about me. So here goes.
I started this photography journey when I had my son in 2004. I got my first point and shoot and it never left my hand. I documented every moment of his life! Then in 2008 I got my first DSLR. That was when I began to see everything differently. As if I was looking through a lens. I finally knew what I wanted to be when I grew up! A photographer!!
I have been looking at the world through my lens for 10 years now and my feelings have never changed. I want to take pictures and capture memories for the rest of my life. If I can get one image that takes your breath away I have done my job.
I switched it up a bit and got involved in Real Estate Photography. It is a whole different world than I was used to when I was photographing people. While it is very different , it is still meaningful. When someone lets you into their home and tells you stories about their lives, it's special. Home is where the heart is and when someone is selling their home they are leaving a piece of their heart behind. I see that and appreciate it. Which led me to becoming a licensed realtor. It is an honor to have someone trust you to sell their home. It is such a HUGE step for so many. I feel like I can help them in that process.
I have had many bumps in the road over the years. Some VERY tough times. I even put my camera down for a year so that I could focus on healing and becoming the person I knew I was deep down inside! What reemerged from hiatus was someone who is strong, determined, focused and ready to rock and roll. Someone who knows what she wants in life and is willing to work hard to get it.
Today I have two beautiful boys ages 14 & 8. Two dogs, Bella and Marshal. A cat named Benson. An amazing career as a Photographer and Real Estate Agent. A family that is behind me every step of the way. What more could a girl want? Well maybe some more camera gear!!! I always want more gear! Ahhh, the life of a photographer!
